Programs Types vs. Program Names

Programs are the dark blue or light blue buttons that appear on the Services page in a client's profile. A program name and program type have to be assigned to it for it to be created.

Program Type

A program type is a categorization of the type of programs in an organization. A site can have more than one program with the same program type. When running reports, keep in mind that they can only be filtered by program type, not program name. If you need two programs within one organization to be reported on separately, consider assigning it to another program type.

Any of the programs below can be customized to be appointment-based.
Any of the programs below (except a bulk generic program) can have a provision added to it. See How Do I Add a Provision? for information on how to add those provisions.

Program Name

This is the label assigned to the program created. By default, the word "New" will automatically be added at the front of the label name. So if you set up the label as "Pantry Visit", the button on the Services page of a client's profile will say "New Pantry Visit".

This is NOT necessarily the same label listed under the Program Type section when setting up reports. There is one section you can run in the Statistics Report that will allow you to report on program names.
