How Do I Create a Delivery Route?

Before deciding which clients should be added to your route, please keep in mind that the current capacity when optimizing a route is limited to 25 clients per route.

Go to Clients, then Attendance

Click on "New Delivery Route"

Type in a name for the delivery route

Search for the clients in the same way you would during client intake. See How Do I Search for Clients? for more information on how to do this.

Once you have found the client in the dropdown list, a pop up will appear where you can enter additional information about the delivery:

Delivery Reason: reason why the client needs a delivery

Delivery Notes: any relevant notes the driver may need to know about the delivery.

Click on Save to add them to the group.

The client's household details will appear, including:

  • Order #

  • ID# (both client and household)

  • Client Name

  • Household Address

  • Items/Services Provided

  • Dietary Considerations

  • Delivery Details

  • Notifications: Last Delivery Date, # Missed Deliveries

  • Notifications: household alert notes, forced review details, delivery reason and delivery notes

NOTE: you can add more than one client from the same household into the same group. The system will alert you that you have done this and you can choose to continue if that is what you meant to do.

A notification bar will appear reminding you that you have to update your group in order to see the full completed list or to record a visit.

Click on the "trash"  icon to remove a client from the group.

Click on "Create Route"  to save the group or "Cancel" to discard your changes.

Once created, you'll also see additional tools that could be useful to manage your list.

  • Reorder: reorder the list of clients

  • Copy: you can copy the table into another application

  • CSV: you can download the table into a csv file that can be opened in Microsoft Excel

  • PDF: you can download the table into a PDF file

  • Print View: you can view the table in a printer friendly mode and then print it directly from the program
